Springdale Public Schools has named Megan Rojo as the Springdale Pre-K principal.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue to serve the community, staff and families of our earliest learners,” Rojo said.

Rojo is transitioning to the position after serving for five years as the Pre-K Program’s assistant principal. She’s worked as an educator for 14 years, all of which has been in support of Springdale students.

"Ms. Rojo is an outstanding leader in the field of early childhood education, and her experience and knowledge will continue to grow our preschool program," said Dr. Jared Cleveland, Springdale Public Schools superintendent.

Rojo has also served Springdale families at Bayyari Elementary School, as a district teacher on special assignment and as a district instructional specialist.

She holds a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and a master’s in Education: Reading Specialist with Leadership and Administration from Harding University in Searcy, as well K-12 ESL and ESOL licensures.

Rojo said she hopes to continue the work of creating high-quality early childhood education for the community as the Springdale Pre-K principal.

“I also want to continue to fulfill our vision for our Pre-K program to be recognized as the best early childhood program in the state and nation,” she said. “I know that's big goal, but I know we have an amazing staff that already does amazing work. It’s just showing the world the great work we do every day!”

The educator said she enjoys spending time with her family in her spare time.

“I love spending time with husband, Alonso, and our three kids, Alex, 7, Ana, 5, and, Abigail, 3,” she said. “We love playing games, playing outside and spending time with our extended family.”
