Kimberly Loughridge is returning to Springdale Public Schools to serve as the Springdale Pre-K assistant principal.
“I am looking forward to being a part of the Springdale Pre-K team,” Loughridge said. “I know it's going to be a year filled with new learning adventures!”
Loughridge is entering her 26th year as an educator and is returning to Springdale after working for four years as the Alma Intermediate School Principal.
“I’m so thankful to have Kim join our Pre-K family," said Megan Rojo, Springdale Pre-K principal. "She brings great experience, energy and passion to help our kids and families start their school experience off right!”
Loughridge previously served Springdale students as a Parson Hills Elementary School teacher from 1999-2005 and as the Lee Elementary School assistant principal from 2005-2007.
"We are very lucky to have Kim Loughridge back in the Springdale School District," said Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland. "She is a respected administrator and will bring tremendous value to our Pre-K program."
Loughridge holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and a Master of Teaching from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, as well as an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Harding University in Searcy.
She said she can't wait to build relationships with the Springdale Pre-K staff, students and families.
“I am bringing a passion for teaching reading and self-regulation skills,” Loughridge said. “I'm excited about being a part of the foundational learning that takes place in Pre-K!”
She and her husband, Doug Loughridge, have been married for 19 years. Doug Loughridge is the Siloam Springs High School head football coach.
“We have three wonderful children,” Loughridge said. “Coltin, 23, Lydia, 21, and, Hudson, 15,” she said, adding “I enjoy traveling with my family, thrifting and reading in my free time!”
